The Press Gang is a family-run dry cleaner with two shops, on White Hart Lane in Barnes and on Walton Road in East Molesey. We clean, launder, press and repair clothes, bedding, leather and wedding dresses for local households and businesses.

We work with bed and breakfast owners, small hotels and restaurants within five miles of our shops. Bed linen, duvets, towels and table linen can be brought to either counter, and we agree the arrangements with each business directly.

How it works

  1. Bring it to the counter

    Hand your items in at Barnes or East Molesey, Monday to Saturday, and tell us about any marks or concerns.

  2. We look it over

    We check each item, note anything that needs particular attention and give you a ticket for it.

  3. Collect it

    Bring your ticket back to the same shop and collect your items cleaned, pressed or repaired.

Questions we are often asked

Which shop should I use?

Whichever is more convenient for you. Our Barnes shop is at 34 White Hart Lane, SW13 0PY, and our East Molesey shop is at 64 Walton Road, KT8 0DL. You will find both phone numbers and opening hours on our shops page.

Do you collect and deliver?

Yes. As well as taking items in at our shops in Barnes and East Molesey, we offer collection and delivery. Call the shop nearer to you to arrange it.

Do you clean wedding dresses?

Yes. Please bring the dress to the shop so that we can look at the fabric, the trimmings and any marks before we agree the work with you. The sooner after the wedding, the better.

Can you clean leather and fur?

Yes, we clean leather and fur garments. They need different treatment from ordinary dry cleaning, so please tell us what you know about the garment, including any earlier cleaning, when you hand it in.

Do you repair shoes as well as clothes?

Yes. As well as repairs and alterations to clothes, we carry out repairs to shoes.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. We look after bed and breakfasts, small hotels and restaurants within five miles of our shops. Read about our service for business customers, or call the shop nearer to you.

How much will it cost?

The price depends on the item, its fabric and the work it needs. Please call or visit either shop and we will give you a price.
