Dry cleaning
Dry cleaning is the right choice for suits, coats, jackets, dresses, silk, wool and any garment whose label says it should not be washed in water. Each garment is checked before cleaning, treated for marks where possible, cleaned and then pressed so that it is ready to wear.
If a garment has a particular stain, or a history we should know about, please tell us when you hand it in. The more we know, the better the result.
Laundry and service washes
Our laundry service takes care of everyday washing: shirts, household linen, towels and clothes that can go in water. With a service wash you simply hand over the bag, and we wash and dry it for you so that it is ready to collect.
Ironing
We press shirts, blouses, trousers, dresses and household linen. Ironing can be added to your laundry or brought in on its own, whether it is one shirt for an interview or a week's worth for the family.
Leather and fur
Leather and fur need different care from ordinary fabrics, and they are easily spoiled by the wrong treatment. We clean leather and fur garments, and when you bring a piece in we will talk you through what can be expected for it.
Please tell us its age, whether it has been cleaned before and any marks that concern you.
Duvets and bedding
Duvets, pillows, blankets, bedspreads, sheets and covers are often too large for a domestic washing machine to clean or dry properly. We clean duvets and bedding so that they come back fresh, whether it is a single pillow or the bedding for a guest house.
Repairs and alterations
Clothes that no longer fit, or have a broken zip, a fallen hem or a missing button, can usually be put right. We carry out repairs and alterations to clothes of every kind, from shortening trousers to taking in a dress.
Shoe repairs
We repair shoes as well as clothes. Bring them to the counter and we will tell you what can be done.
Wedding dresses
A wedding dress is often the most precious garment a person owns, and by the end of the day it is usually marked at the hem. We clean wedding dresses with the care they deserve.
Many brides lose a little weight in the weeks before the wedding, so if your dress needs altering, leave it in our hands. Afterwards we can clean it so that it stays as you remember it for years to come.
Please bring the dress in as soon as you can after the wedding, because older marks are harder to remove. Read our advice on wedding dresses for what to do beforehand.
Collection and delivery
As well as taking items in at our counters in Barnes and East Molesey, we collect and deliver. We can pick up your clothes, bedding or ironing and bring them back to your door cleaned, pressed or repaired.
We cover about three miles around either shop. Call the shop nearer to you to arrange a collection.
